Atrophy, the decrease in size of a body part, cell, organ, or other tissue.

As we age different parts of our body atrophy for different reasons. Muscle generally atrophies from disuse, poor nutrition, diminished activity or function. What we don’t use, we lose.

Aging itself is characterized by marked atrophy of MANY tissues and organs, including the degeneration of our brains. The things we do (or don’t do) today directly impact our future outcomes.

To put it bluntly, if we’re not actively doing things to grow, mentally and physically, then we’re in decline.

While that’s far from a fun thought, the good news is by taking action today we can slow and, in some cases, reverse this.

What will you choose to do?
