If you don’t challenge yourself, you will never know what you’re truly capable of.

When Rich started strength training with me in January he’d never attempted a deadlift in his life. In fact he’d come from a predominately sports-focused training background, not a gym bro!

Transitioning into strength training, Rich has taken a sensible approach. No ego lifting here, we’ve added weight to the bar when he’s ready, and he hasn’t been ashamed to drop it back when not quite up to the challenge on the day.

So here we are less than 6 months later, with Rich reaching a new level with his PRs, comfortably conventional deadlifting 130kg for 5, 1.5 times his body weight.

Congratulations Rich, you legend! You have worked hard to earn those gains, super stoked for you, hence the high fives all round last night!
